H. Edward Goldberg, AIA, NCARB is a Renaissance man, being a practicing licensed architect and Industrial Designer with over 30 years cumulative experience as a designer, developer, project architect, construction project manager for several national construction companies, owner of a design/build practice, technical writer, author, educator, and AEC industry analyst. He served as Coordinator of CAD and Multi-Media at Carroll Community College, from 1994-1999, and as Coordinator of the Industrial Design Program at Towson University, from 2000-2003. Ed's lecture & workshop credits include lecturing at the National AIA Convention, Autodesk University, AEC Systems Expos, AEC/ST, Design DC, Architecture Exchange East, Associated General Contractors (AGC), Design Build Institute of America (DBIA), and AIA Chapter forums. He has also been featured by the AIA as one of the leading authorities on Digital Technology for Architects. Ed is registered as an Architect in Maryland, Washington DC, and West Virginia. He has designed and/or built many commercial and residential projects, and is an expert on historical renovation and the BIM (Building Information Model).

Ed holds the distinction of being the only practicing professional who regularly writes on the subject of technology for architects and designers. He was a Contributing Editor for "CADALYST" where he wrote the monthly " AEC in Focus" column, and Technology Editor for "Architecture Business & Economics", A Business Magazine with Solutions for Practicing Architects", and past author for "Inside AutoCAD" newsletter. A published author, he has written 6 books on Architectural Desktop and AutoCAD Architecture, versions 3, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 respectively. His most recent effort, "AutoCAD Architecture, 2008: A Comprehensive Tutorial" (Prentice Hall) is available in book stores and on www.amazon.com. His Revit Architecture 2009 is available now.

Ed is a Free Mason and 32 degree Scottish Rites member; the son of a Free Mason.
